story: It has often been seen that the more hype a movie creates before release, the worse it turns out to be afterwards. To some an extent, the same holds true for ‘Blue’ as well. Seriously, the 100 crores spent on the movie could have been put to a much better use, while saving the audience from wasting their money on multiplex tickets as well. What ‘Blue’ suffers from most is the lack of a strong story and good screenplay. In the absence of these two, even the breathtaking visuals and brilliant underwater images by Pete Zuccarini seem to wash out.Anthony D’Souza has taken many cinematic liberties as well. For instance, the treasure buried deep in the sea come from a ship that had sunk in 1949, while coming from Britain to India. Now, the confusion is how did Bahamas (where the ship sank and the treasure was lost) come in the sea route between Britain and India (any guesses?). The slick action sequences and engaging bike sequences surely keep the audience entertained for sometime, but the basic lack of screenplay has an impact here as well and the movie fails to sustain the thrill.The background score of ‘Blue’ is not as winning as a film of its genre should have. The dialogues and musical score are okay, with nothing exceptional. However, the cinematography surely makes you fall in love with Bahamas. The worst part of the movie is that the ‘climax’ suspense seems to be obvious right from the very start. As for performances, Akshay Kumar should seriously start paying some attention to the kind of films that he signs and his character in them. Sanjay Dutt is good, but needs to get back in shape (the paunch looks horrible). Zayed is okay, while Lara Dutta looks hot! In short.

Plot :Fast Forward narrates the tale of two best buddies Rishi (Rehan) and Sunny (Akshay Kapoor). Both are fantastic dancers. The fun loving Sunny finds dancing a great way to express himself and is in love with Rishi’s sister Jeel (Bhavna). (There is an unintentionally hilarious proposal scene between later in the film). Sunny realizes Jeel has purposely kept herself away from her biggest passion – dancing. He goes on to rekindle it but it leads to the revealing of Rishi’s dark past. The finale sets up in a dancing competition called Fast Forward (hence the title) amongst many top dancing groups including Sunny and Rishi’s. Fast Forward is the kind of a film which appears exciting on paper what with all the right ingredients thrown in which many urban youngsters can relate to. But it’s a failure when executed on screen. Neither the script nor the direction nor acting and most importantly neither the music has any fire to keep u interested throughout this 2 hours plus film. Debutante director Zaigham Ali Sayed also squeezes in an unwanted mafia angle to the film in an attempt to give it a thriller edge. But alas, even that doesn’t leave you wanting for more! Music by Akbar Sami is a mega let down, however the dances choreographed by Jhalak Dikhla Ja winner Sonia Jaffer, Vishnu Deva and Seema Desai are the only noteworthy thing of this enterprise. The film features a heady mix of dance sequences (hip hop, Salsa, Rumba, Samba) also add to that B Boying stunts that are packed with high energy. Rehan Khan attempts to be an angry young man only to end up looking a wannabe Sunny Deol. However, he is good in dancing. Akshay Kapoor is okay and impresses with his dancing skills. Bhavna Pani and Sabina complement the boys well with their dancing skills. Mahesh Manjrekar and Vinod Khanna leave their mark as always. Siddhant Karnick needs to improve his acting skills.

A sense of urgency is ubiquitous in everything that occurs on screen. The film also owes its impact to a sensible and sensational portrayal of both Venkatesh and Kamal Hassan. While Venkatesh is at his usual best in the role of a cop; Kamal Hassan’s portrayal of a common man is the focal point of the entire story. The whole drama follows the Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, with every phone call from Kamal changing the whole equation which hits a crescendo towards the end. Both these actors are wonderfully supported by Dr.Bharat Reddy and Ganesh Venkataraman, both enacting as cops in Commissioner’s office.

But hey, hasn't he heard about roots and the theory of relativity (read umpteen overzealous relatives)!Dadi shakes off the cobwebs, swoons over a banarsi paan, snuggles up to all her biradari and bustee wallahs (friends and relatives) and picks up the strings of a life she'd never wanted to give up. Roshan however begins on a predictable yuppie-yankee note and smiles indulgently at the teeming chaos: the cows in the street, the kitschy Ramleela shows, the kite and pigeon flying soirees on the terraces, the polo session with Uncle Beg (Rishi Kapoor) and the jalebi sessions with the boys next door. And before he knows, he's gently sucked into the chaos himself. Specially when he can't understand why firebrand Imarti (Divya Dutta) is an untouchable; why the unfriendly neighbourhood cop (Vijay Raaz) has a Hitler fetish; why his uncles (Om Puri, Pavan Malhotra) have built a wall in their house, while their wives gossip relentlessly through a loose brick. Or else, why the beautiful Bittu (Sonam Kapoor) chooses to have her wings clipped, like the white dove, Masakali, when she too can fly and fulfil her dreams.And if that isn't dramatic enough to hold our boy back to where he belongs, there's the infamous Monkey Man and his escapades that became an urban legend in saddi Dilli, not so long ago. The filmmaker interestingly uses the metaphor of the Monkey Man (Kala Bandar) to symbolise the beast within and blends different vignettes of contemporary India to create a composite picture. One that holds up the mirror to the modern Indian and shows him up as both heroic and beastly; communal and comrade-like. Ironically, it is this metaphor which becomes stretched and almost funny in the climax, drawing away from the appeal of the film. The shoddy climax, replete with a scene from heaven, and the sluggish pace of the film do detract from the delicious flavour of Delhi 6, which, all said and done, is a delectable paapdi-chaat of big, bustling, bulging India. The director creates a whole gallery of mesmeric characters, though one wishes he had focussed a bit more on bubbly Bittu, specially since Sonam has such a pleasant screen presence.Unfortunately, she's left as a mere sketch on this colourful canvas, where, once again, Abhishek Bachchan proves he's in crackling, quicksilver form as the `burger-chaap' Amrikan who tells his bustee wallahs to `get real'. Rahman's Masakali music has already become a chartbuster, even as veterans like Waheeda and Rishi reiterate the truism about old being absolute gold. Watch it for the message of Delhi 6 and the ekdum desi India-feel.

Plot:

Seventeen year-old Kim is the pride and joy of her father Bryan Mills. Bryan is a retired agent who left the Secret Service to be near Kim in California. Kim lives with her mother Lenore and her wealthy stepfather Stuart. Kim manages to convince her reluctant father to allow her to travel to Paris with her friend Amanda. When the girls arrive in Paris they share a cab with a stranger named Peter, and Amanda lets it slip that they are alone in Paris. Using this information an Albanese gang of human traffickers kidnaps the girls. Kim barely has time to call her father and give him information. Her father gets to speak briefly to one of the kidnappers and he promises to kill the kidnappers if they do not let his daughter go free. The kidnapper wishes him "good luck," so Bryan Mills travels to Paris to search for his daughter and her friend

Their performance delivered brought a grace to the storyline. We can say that their performance seemingly close to reality is the main asset to the film.Varun Sandesh who exhibited a settled performance in 'Happy Days', did very well with the godavari accent. form start to end his performance exhibits considerable improvement compared to earlier 'Happy Days'.Swetha Prasad who entered filmdom with 'Ekbal' as a child artist, had exhibited much ease in acting, and bagged applauses for her performance. This is her first appearance as a heroine in Telugu, and her performance can be counted as an additional high spot to the film. On the whole she did well in the character of Swetha. Hopefully, she will get some good opportunities in Tollywood after this film.'Ahuthi' Prasad did very well as Viswanadam. Director Srikanth has utilized his image after 'Chandamam' very well, in molding his character. Many dialogues of this movie reminds us of the dialogues in his earlier film. Rajitha did her role well with whatever she could perform in the premises.Brahmanandam's role as a college priniciple needs no special description. He lured the audience with his ever green style of comedy.RaoRamesh who got good recognition for his performance in 'Gamyam', performed his character of the chemistry lecturer aptly. He portrays a role that encourages and guides Balu. If the talent in him is utilized properly, he will be like another Prakash Raj to the industry.

Plot:

Lakhan Singh aka Lucky is the "kinng" of the Australian underworld. He is accompanied by his associates, Julie (Neha Dhupia), Mika (Jaaved Jaffrey), Pankaj Udaas (Yashpal Sharma), Raftaar (Sudhanshu Pandey) and Dilbaugh Singh (Manoj Pahwa). Far away in a small village in Punjab, where Lucky was born, there exists someone more notorious than him - Happy Singh (Akshay Kumar). Happy has caused many problems and disastrous situations in the village. The villagers are fed up of him. The villagers decide to send Happy on a long trip to Australia with his buddy, Rangeela (Om Puri) to bring Lucky back to Punjab, which will keep Happy out of the village for some while and bring peace to the village. At the airport, Happy and Rangeela's tickets to Australia get exchanged with a stranger's (Puneet's) ticket to Egypt and they reach the opposite places. In Egypt, Happy helps Sonia (Katrina Kaif) and falls deeply in love with her without expressing his love to Sonia. He leaves his love story and heads towards Australia to meet Lucky. Lucky refuses to return to his home-town and throws Happy and Rangeela out from his house. Penniless, Happy finds warmth and affection in an elderly lady (Kirron Kher) who provides him with food when he was starving in spite of being a stranger. Lucky lands up in hospital paralyzed after much mayhem caused by Happy, and Happy, unexpectedly is conferred the title of Kinng. Happy is not proud of his rank and is kind-hearted. The lady who helped Happy is really worried and depressed as her daughter is returning from Egypt with her wealthy boyfriend, Puneet(The Person At The Airport) (Ranvir Shorey). The daughter does not know that after the death of her father some time back, her mother is a poor flower seller. Happy gives the flower-seller his spacious house and makes all his mafia associates work as workers...
